COURSE OBJECTIVES:
DTTM believes in the importance of giving its students extensive practical exposure alongside invaluable academic know-how to ensure their holistic development. Engagement with field practice forms an integral component of MBA (TTM) curriculum and students spend a total of about 07 days on natural/cultural-heritage/rural settings. TILDC is carefully organized, starting with ground level practicums that attempt to connect classroom learning with practical situations, followed by a field immersion where students spend 07 days in a field setting, often living  with the destination communities and getting an on the ground experience. TILDC will help students to understand various aspects of the Destination Management practices, Destination Resources and Attributes, Community Participation in tourism development, Pro-Poor Tourism (PPT) initiatives, Leadership Attributes, Team Work, Basics of Adventure Sports and Sustainable Development (SD) etc at grassroot level. The TILDC could include visit to adventure tourism destinations, rural tourism sites, ecotourism sites, tribal areas, national parks, cultural and heritage attractions, recreational attractions, NGOs, upcoming tourism projects etc across various states of India.  It also involves Small Practicum Project (SPP) where students reflect their imagination and knowledge about the ground level learning and experiences.
