Come Let’s Celebrate the Spirit of Incredible India!
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Tourism & Travel Management, Central University of  Jammu  will host  spectrum  of  events  to  mark  the  occasion  of PARYATAN  PARV and WORLD TOURISM DAY” during  25th to 27th September 2019.  We request you to motivate your students for participation in the above event.


Documentary Making Competition

GUIDELINES:
·         Each documentary must be based on this year’s ‘PARYATAN PARV’ theme: ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ (Tourism in India OR Any relevant social issues in India).
·         Each documentary must be no longer than 5-7 minutes. Opening/or closing credit are not required, but (if added) may be an additional 10 seconds in total.
·         The documentary must be in English/or Hindi language or have no dialogue at all.
·         Ensure that all content in your documentary (including footage, music, images, props, etc.) is your own. If you include any copyrighted content, you must be able to provide written permission for its use. Entries containing any unauthorised content will be disqualified.
·         Students may enter individually or in group.
·         Each documentary may only be submitted once.
·         Entrants may submit only one documentary.
·         Entry is free, and is open to all students of the university.
·         Be creative with the theme, you can include it in your documentary as a spoken line, in the background, as a caption or in some other way..
·         Prizes to be won and Certificates to all participants.
·         The judges may disqualify a documentary if they have reason to believe that it does not comply with the entry Terms and Conditions, so make sure you have read them thoroughly!
·         The decision of the judge will be final.

DEBATE COMPETITION
Topic for Debate:  “Tourism benefits the world”
                                                                "Tourism as a tool for Employment Generation"  
GUIDELINES:
·         Entry is free, and is open to all students of the university.
·         Each team shall comprise of two members, one member will speak For the motion and another will speak Against the motion.
·         Medium of expression may be Hindi or English.
·         Each speaker shall get 5 minutes to speak.
·         Paper reading is strictly prohibited.
·         Students are expected to speak for a total time period of five minutes, for presenting their viewpoints which is followed by two minutes of questioning and rebuttals.
·         The debate will be held in front of Panel of Judges
·         Judges judge the participants on the basis of their performance, thinking, Confidence & Knowledge about the topic.
·         Prizes to be won and Certificates to all participants.
·         The decision of the judge will be final.



QUIZ COMPETITION

Incredible India Quiz 2018
India has a myriad of landscapes, great heritage, culture and flora and fauna.  The quiz would test your knowledge on Incredible India.
GUIDELINES:
·         The Competition is open to all students studying in the Central University of Jammu.
·         Each team shall comprise of two members.
·         There will be a written preliminary round and teams will be selected for the final.
·         Finals will be oral with audio- visual questions.
·         The specific rules regarding evaluation procedure, time to reply a particular answer and the type of round will be given before the competition.
·         The Quiz is based on this year’s theme: ‘Dekho Apna Desh’.
·         The quiz will include questions evolving around India (particular focus on Indian Culture, heritage, Indian Geography, Economy, tourism destinations, tourism attractions etc.
·         Prizes to be won and Certificates to all participants.
·         The decision of the judge will be final.



NUKKAD NATAK COMPETITION

THEME OF THE: ANY RELEVANT SOCIAL ISSUE IN INDIA

GUIDELINES:
·         The Competition is open to all students studying in the Central University of Jammu.
·         The play may be in Hindi, English or Hinglish. Please avoid other language except for very small lines.
·         Acoustic and percussion instruments will be allowed.
·         No props will be provided.
·         Use of fire/water/smoke machines (or anywhere in its vicinity) is strictly prohibited.
·         Teams are expected to mention approximate time for their plays at the time of registration.
·         Maximum time limit for the play: 15 Minutes.
·         Costumes and make-up should be according to the themes.
·         Vulgarity or bitter insinuation should be avoided. Only innocent satire or humour is expected.
·         Participating team should submit two copies of the script.
·         Judging Criteria: Dramatisation, script, crowd interaction and overall impact.
·         Prizes to be won and Certificates to all participants.
·         The decision of the judge will be final.


Cultutral Dance


GUIDELINES:
                                                            GROUP DANCE
·         The Competition is open to all students studying in the Central University of Jammu.
·         Dance categories for the competition are the following:  Folk Dance, Classical, Contemporary and Hip Hop.
·         For Contemporary and Hip Hop dance categories, all groups should focus on any of the following themes: Tourism Awareness and Pride of Incredible India.
·         The song on which the dance will be performed can be of any language.
·         Duration of the performance should not exceed 7 minutes.
·         Participants should wear proper dress and make up.
·         Each team should comprise of minimum 3 and maximum 10 members.
·         The participating team will be responsible for removal of their sets/properties etc. immediately after the competition of their performance.
·         Judgement will be based on choreography, rhythms, taal, synchronization, costume and overall presentation and performance of the students.
·         Prizes to be won and Certificates to all participants.
·         The decision of the judge will be final.

SOLO DANCE
·         The dance should be classical/ folk/ creative.
·         The song on which the dance will be performed can be of any language.
·         Participants should wear proper dress and make up.
·         Duration of the performance should not exceed 7 minutes.
·         Participants can perform on track.  
·         The performance will be judged on the basis of creativity, rhythm, gestures, expression, and overall presentation.
·         Prizes to be won and Certificates to all participants.
·         The decision of the judge will be final.
